Bill O'Reilly is a non-hippie Patriot.
I learned a lot from watching 10 minutes of Bill O'Reilly yesterday. Here's what I'm confused about: Should I be more OUTRAGED about SOLYNDRA, or Ron Paul's UNAMERICAN comments that the US brought the 9/11 terrorist attacks on itself?
Here's what we know.
(1) SOLYNDRA, a solar panel manufacturer in LIBERAL HIPPIE CALIFORNIA, received $535 in GOVERNMENT backed loan guarantees from OBAMA before going bankrupt. Key points: GREEN ENERGY is stupid, SOLAR PANELS are stupid, and OBAMA is stupid and corrupt.
(2) Suggesting US foreign policy prompted the 9/11 terrorists to attack is UNAMERICAN and UNPATRIOTIC. I mean, don't even talk about nonsense like that. Not even worthy of discussion.

Letter to Elizabeth Ames Jones.
Dear Mrs. Jones,
We are following with interest your primary race against incumbent State Senator Jeff Wentworth. Please list five instances where you would have voted differently than Sen. Wentworth, and explain why you disagree with Sen. Wentworth's votes. All instances need not be from the most recent Legislature, but obviously the more recent the vote, the more topical.
You've been quoted by the media saying you are a conservative, and Sen. Wentworth is not, and that you are pro-tort reform, and Sen. Wentworth is not. That's fine for media soundbites, we suppose, but we'd like to get some concrete examples of how your service in the Senate would depart from Sen. Wentworth's. Some examples of when and why you would have voted differently from Sen. Wentworth is an appropriate way to differentiate your philosophies and real-world approach to legislating.
We look forward to your response, which we will post on luridtransom.
Regards,
luridtransom

Listen Up, NPR.
To Dianne Rhem & Tom Ashbrook:
Stop taking calls from the Liberal Public on the air. If I want to listen to mouth-breathing talk show callers, I'll just listen to Rush Limbaugh. Interview somebody with something interesting and intelligent to say. Or play a White Stripes marathon. Either way. Just no more callers, please. Thanks.

Political Campaigns are 99% Zingers and Imaginary Projects.
In an unusually tough interview Tuesday night, Fox News host Hannity told Perry that he sounded like he was part of the Occupy Wall Street movement.
"It doesn't sound like somebody that is governing the state of Texas as a conservative," Hannity said.
Perry responded: "There's a real difference between venture capitalism and vulture capitalism. Venture capitalism, we like. Vulture capitalism, no. The fact of the matter is, he's going to have to face up to this at some time or another, and South Carolina is as good a place to draw that line in the sand as any."

Did you hear Mitt Romney likes to fire people?
A vibrant democracy is built on using out-of-context soundbites to influence the votes of stupid people.

Tea Party.
Don't be fooled into thinking Social Security and Medicare taxes are substantively different from federal income tax. It all goes to the same place.
